Beaujolais wines

Located in the Rhône department in France. Wines from this region are made from a single grape variety, Gamay. Beaujolais wines are distinguished by their ruby-red color and fruity aromas, with notes of cherry and raspberry. Beaujolais wines can be enjoyed young, in the first few years after bottling, or later, after several years of aging. Younger wines are light and fruity, while older wines are more complex and elegant.
