A highly esteemed cognac house that until a few years ago was still owned by the Royer family, but after a family feud was finally sold to the Suntory group. Alain Royer, its director, had tried to bring the firm back into the top ranks with rather light blends, elegant structure and dry taste. Royer's eaux de vies are noble, well-cared-for and fruity - the restrictive use of the three best crus from Grande and Petite Champagne and Borderies, but also the free choice of old or very old cognacs, taken from the reserves, have enabled Royer cognacs to become true classics.
